Kingdom Fellowship Church (KF Church) started with a vision that was given by God to Dr. Shakina Dunbar Rawlings & Deacon Dawud Rawlings. Starting with a launch team of over 20 people, this team began meeting in January 2014 to help build the foundation of the church. The team was divided into 4 teams; Administration, GIVE (Outreach), Marketing, and Youth & Young Adults. These teams consisted of the unchurched and those who belonged to other churches but had a desire to help build. For many, the confirmation of KF being their church home was revealed through their involvement. After seeking God, The Rawlings knew that they could not have people wandering with nowhere to worship and grow. In the spring of 2014, they began a bible study with a core group of team members ultimately resulting in the formation of Sunday worship services for leaders and their families, in January 2015. Through word of mouth, this ultimately resulted in individuals outside of the core group attending worship and joining the fellowship. The ministry began worshiping every Sunday in a temporary location on Mount Vernon Ave in Alexandria, VA, and officially launched on September 27, 2015. With over 200 people in attendance, the launch was a huge success. The Ministry began worshiping at the Lee Center and began to grow. In January 2016, the ministry moved and began worshiping at James K. Polk Elementary. As God continues to add to KF Church, the ministry is preparing to plant its second location in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
